The Network to Eliminate Violence in Relationships (NEVR) invites proposals for presentations and interactive workshops at the 17th Annual NEVR Conference 2027.
Each year, NEVR brings together professionals, researchers, educators, community organizations, government representatives, healthcare providers, legal professionals, advocates, and individuals with lived experience to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and advance innovative approaches to preventing and responding to violence.
Conference Theme:
Collaboration, Coordination, and Integration Across Sectors
Violence prevention cannot be achieved by any one organization or sector alone.
The 2027 conference will explore how cross-sector partnerships, coordinated responses, and integrated service delivery can strengthen prevention efforts, improve support for victims and survivors, and create safer communities across British Columbia.
We encourage presentations that demonstrate practical strategies, successful partnerships, emerging research, innovative programs, and lessons learned from collaborative work.
Presentation Formats
20-Minute Presentation
Share research findings, innovative programs, best practices, policy developments, or successful community initiatives.
Ideal for:

90-Minute Interactive Workshop
Facilitate practical, skills-based learning through discussion, demonstrations, activities, or collaborative exercises.

Proposal Review
All submissions will be reviewed by the NEVR Conference Committee.
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
- Relevance to the conference theme
- Practical value for attendees
- Innovation
- Evidence-informed content
- Quality and clarity
- Audience engagement
- Diversity of perspectives
- Cross-sector relevance
